Hinode's open-source license for the codebase and documentation.

Codebase  

The codebase of Hinode is open source under the conditions of the MIT License  and is copyright © 2022 - 2025 by Mark Dumay. In short, the MIT license allows you to use the Hinode codebase for both personal and commercial use, as long as you include the original license and copyright notice. Licensed works, modifications, and larger works may be distributed under different terms and without source code. No liability or warranty is given.

Documentation  

The documentation of Hinode is licensed under the Creative Commons ( CC BY-NC 4.0  ) license. This includes all files within the repository’s /content and /exampleSite/content folders and their children, as well as the “README” in the repository root. The license allows you to share and adapt the materials, as long as you give appropriate credit and do not use the materials for commercial purposes. No warranties are given.
